Q:This is sort of a confession, but I want to see what you think as well so i'm not sending it as a confession. I truly hate when fan bases accuse people of "hating" an artist because of their success and good lucks. In my opinion that doesn't make any sense and it's stupid. Beliebers and Directioners are consistently saying that. Just cause people don't like you, that doesn't mean we're "jealous" or that you have "haters" gtfo. What do you think about this?
Oh, well, I personally think that in fan bases, there is this kind of competition going on because there isn’t really anything that can determine who’s “the best”, or “the queen” or whatever. If you’re a sports fan, then you have this obvious competition going on and whoever wins the game is the best at the moment. But in music its mostly based on popularity.
And how can you even start to rate popularity? So I think those fans try to determine who’s the best by praising their fave and when two fandoms, that are mostly in the same music category do that, there might be fights between them.
Thats my theory about it. Though, when you talk about Beliebers and Directioners, then we have to keep in mind that most of them are teenage girls. I’m not trying to stereotype here but we all know that… and those teenage girls are HARD ASS about their idols. Trust me, I’ve been one, haha.
